This magnificent, mediaeval church built between 1420 and 1480 is often called the cathedral of North Yorkshire because of its outstanding Perpendicular Gothic architecture, size and prominence - it has an 80ft tower. Open daily 10am to 4pm (Sundays noon till 4pm)from April to the end of October and Wednesday and Friday mornings, 10am to 11.30am from November to April.

The Catholic Parish of All Saints, Thirsk is 172 years old. The first Church was situated off the A19, there is a property named Church Farm along this road and the Church was situated beside the house. There is also a small graveyard where some of the parishioners are buried.
